Issue 121 of New Zealand Geographic hit stores today, and with it my first NZ Geo cover; a New Zealand storm-petrel in flight.
As some of you might know, NZ storm-petrels were discovered in 2003 after being thought extinct for over 150 years, and I have been involved with a project trying to find where they breed for the past few years. Grab a copy of the magazine if you are interested in more of that story that this year led to success!
I’ve been busy over the past few months; selling my house, getting married, now working on building a new house, and somehow I still found time to float around the Hauraki Gulf and scambling over Little Barrier Island chasing storm-petrels. Updating the website has had to take a back seat. Hopefully I’ll soon be able to find a little time to be online. I certainly have a backlog of photos to sort through, including loads from the NZ storm-pretrel expedition!
